I cant believe it has been a year already. Wow! Time DOES fly when you’re having fun!

Wasn’t it a fantastic year? I have enjoyed sharing my inspirations, experiments and dreams with you. I have made so many new friends.  Thank you for coming back to Mochatini and leaving me sweet notes! I cant tell you how much I look forward to reading your comments. With each post {185 counting this one}, each comment {167 + 42 that I deleted by accident}, each Tweet and FB comment, I have felt such a connection with YOU.

My life is richer with support from friends like you – old and new! You all know who you are and I love you! Bloggers and non-bloggers. {Thank you DTI, Design for Mankind, Dwellings and Decor, HWTM, Life in a Venti Cup, Design Tavern, An Indian Summer, Coco+Kelley} Designers and artists. Renters and home owners. Fashionistas and remodelistas. Friends from literally all corners of the world! Each one of you has been a source of  inspiration to me. It is mostly because of your encouragement that I come back each day and post on Mochatini.

This past year, both Mochatini and I have grown a lot. Changes in Mochatini are apparent {design, topics, readers, etc}. Mochatini also has two siblings – Twilight Saga Style and A Bloom in Time.

Blogging on Mochatini has given me the confidence to trust my creative instincts.  I know a lot more about design, decoration, styling and photography and am not afraid to experiment. I am really enjoying learning photography from Paul and the photographers I feature. I realized I might get into interior styling and love flowers. I am better at writing and communicating my ideas than I was a year ago. {I have had a lifelong struggle with words so any development is HUGE for me}. My web design skills are way better too. I have also become a super multi-tasker! {Full time work, three blogs, contributing blogger at 2modern, life, travel, relationships, networking, home making….} But most of all I realized how much I really enjoy blogging.

Here’s to many many more! Thank you for reading Mochatini. Salud!

PS: I had forgotten the date until Paul reminded me and said he wanted to take me out to dinner to celebrate!

A VERY special thank you to Paul, my awesome husband. Thank you for being YOU. For reading my blog. For your support!  For encouraging me on days when my visitor counts fell. Patiently listening being a shoulder to cry on when I felt down. For cheering me up! For the wonderful dinners when I was totally consumed with work. For helping me pursue my creative endeavors. For loving me, just as I am! I love you!

pps: I wanted to give away some goodies to mark Mochatini’s birthday, but that will have to wait a bit. {generous sponsors welcome}.

There is something about personalized stationery that screams chic elegance. It makes me giddy to find a personal handwritten  note among all the bills and junk in my mailbox. I love to write little notes all the time, only wish I had a better handwriting! ;-)

These chandelier notecards from pink lily press would be a fun addition to your stationery collection. Pretty and fun, the notecards are hand drawn, digitally enhanced chandelier design on Moroccan flourish background. You can also request matching color envelopes. Wouldn’t these make for excellent gifts too? Mother’s day. Hostess gifts. Thank you notes…. And how about a set for your home office? Available here.

Hello dears. Its Monday again! Hope you had yourself a refreshing weekend. Warm sunny days are here! Takoma Park is blooming with colorful Azaleas everywhere! We took a drive around the neighborhood and got some great shots of them. azaleas1

Relaxing but busy weekend. Paul took on and completed a much needed addition to our yard- a paved pathway! And it turned out great! It took him less than 3 hours total! We wanted an overgrown pathway look, so I planted some Thyme as ground cover between the gaps. Once the pathway was taken care of, we really enjoyed napping (me), dining, and working on our macs outdoors.

We also saw a movie, State of Play, which we both agreed was a complete waste of time. On Sunday after a 2 hour nap on a lounger, we checked out a horse center at Rock Creek Park. If things work out, I will be volunteering there a few hours a week. Ill keep you posted. Busy busy week ahead and really looking forward to our trip to Argentina, which is coming up in a few weeks! Have a great week ahead!
