mochatini turns three + happy friday

With the excitement of this week’s events and projects I nearly forgot that mochatini turns THREE today! Happy birthday to my little blog.

I want to sincerely thank EACH one of you for your support, and friendship in these three wonderful years. I am truly BLESSED to be a part of such a fabulous + inspiring community and to call SO many of you friends. THANK YOU.

I spent most of today get ready for an upcoming photo shoot, I haven’t had a second to celebrate. Which is about to change right now. A bottle of dry brut is chilling as I type this so I’m off.

Before I sign-off, I HAVE to ask. Did you watch the royal wedding? Im SO glad I woke up early to watch it live. It was truly a fairy-tale wedding. Didnt Kate look ABSOLUTELY gorgeous? AND so princess-like. I thought her gown, designed by Sarah Burton for McQueen, was STUNNING!! I’m not much of a tiara person but Kate’s vintage cartier was dazzling! I do wish she has opted for a more impressive bouquet.

What did you think?

Have a great weekend. xoxo

NYC Loft of Ochre Store Owners

Ochre and recently Canvas are two of my favorite home decor stores in NYC. Which is why I am even more excited to peek inside the Soho loft of owners Andrew Corrie and Harriet Maxwell. They gutted the entire loft and did a complete renovation after which they outfitted it with furniture and accessories from their stores.

I love how effortlessly they mixed vintage pieces with a modern, neutral color palette to create a family-friendly home.

I am in LOVE with this vintage French linen armoire.

hello monday + pics from our Easter dinner-for-two

Happy new week friends. Did you have a nice Easter weekend?

Since it was just the two of us (hubby and me) we kept things simple yet festive.

We enjoyed a bottle of Tattinger and grilled chicken kebabs, marinated in cilantro and yogurt chutney, for dinner. For decorations, I used things that I already owned.

I created a tablescape for two using my Iittala Taika plates, Tiffany champagne flutes, and Easter cookie cutters, Tekla dish towels from Ikea as napkins and handmade the striped tablecloth.

For centerpieces, I arranged tulips, roses and hosta leaves in stemless wine glasses. I placed an egg in a couple.

How did you celebrate? xo

happy BE GOOD weekend

After kicking some SERIOUS butt at the gym this week, I feel MUCH closer to my goal of getting myself into better shape before summer starts. While my body feels great, its time to show it little TLC and work up a different kind of sweat. The kind that involves party shoes and sexy dresses.

Speaking of sexy dresses have you seen this photograph of Coco Rocha by Jamie Beck? Im a HUGE fan of Jamie’s work and Coco looks stunning.

You have to view this picture on mochatini’s website for the video-like animation which does not appear via the RSS feed.

Thanks for taking the time to visit this week.

I’m going to slip into something backless paired with higher heels, pour bubbly in my favorite stemware and enjoy the next few days with my husband and friends. One thing my weekend will NOT include is leaning over high balconies, and neither should yours. 😉

Happy Earth Day + Have a BE GOOD (and blessed) weekend. xo
