With longer days and warm summer nights here at last I expect each one of you to be enjoying being outdoors and not sitting in front of your computer screens. But if you simply cant be outdoors basking in sunshine right now, (work and other reasons) then let me take you on a virtual trip.
You need want to apply some sunscreen before hand. We wouldnt want these images to leave you with a burn.
You guys I am SO excited about my tablescaping demo party next week. If you live in the DC/MD/VA come by. I would love to meet and party with you.

Just in time for summer entertaining. Calling all design campers! Please report to Mochatini and LaFabulousVida‘s Design Camp I!
Join us on June 29 from 6-8:30pm at the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams store on 14th Street in Logan Circle for an evening of mingling, tablescape styling and demo with me.
Ooohhh and did I mention there will be a champagne reception? With lovely goodies from Hello Cupcake! and MacaronCafe.com (from NYC and available online) to sweeten your camp experience. A portion of proceeds will go towards providing meals to the homeless via Miriam’s Kitchen.
Register now as space is limited!!
Looking forward to meeting/seeing many of you then.
Have a great week. xo
Hi Friends. As I mentioned a few days ago, I am working on a FABULOUS new project, getting ready for which has kept me away from you. I could seriously use ten more of me right now. Anyhow, I will be connecting with each one of you to bring you upto speed in the next couple of days.
Pop! Goes the weekend. Have a GREAT one friends and THANK YOU much for all your support. You are gold and silver-huhuh.
Finally..As promised…pics of our basement apartment/ future paul’s mancave-media room budget-friendly makeover.
oh yes, he did. True Story.
My husband Paul did 95% of this!!
No way can I tell that this was the first time he has done ANY home improvement projects as major as this! Knocking down walls, kitchen pantry, bookcases, etc, yes but this was huge!
Hello, the guy has skills, friends. Thanks to him we now have better soundproofing, media room wire-ready, personality-filled living space in our walk-out basement apartment. As a matter of fact we had offers from prospective tenants even BEFORE he was finished. It is a really nice space. So so proud of you paul.
We knocked down the wall separating the kitchen/dining area and a bedroom and created one large open floor-plan living space. The wood ceiling I LOVE LOVE!! doesnt it look absolutely amazing? Hubby and his powernailgun “nailed” it.
so what do you think? much better, no?

ps: so sorry for the poor quality of images. new tenants had already moved in and I didnt want to invade their space for too long.
