dining room

Hello friends. How was your weekend? Firstly, sorry for the lack of posts last few days. A last minute work-meeting took me and Paul to New York last thursday and we got back last night. Perfect weather + lovely friends + shopping = fantastic weekend! I know I have said this before {like, many times before} but I heart NY.  DC has its charm, but not the energy that makes NYC one of my fav places in the world. I miss living there.

And now for the part you have been waiting for…the winner of $80 giftcard giveaway sponsored by csnstores is….debbie. Congrats, enjoy the Le Creuset casserole! Send me an email mochatiniblog {at} gmail {dot} com with your shipping address.

Have a great week ahead, and dont forget to come back later this week, when I have another giveaway for you.

interiors; dining rooms

Today, Im inspired by these stylish dining rooms. Glamorous chandeliers, bright open rooms, stylish chairs {these days im loving stripes in upholstery}, and unstated elegance…yes, totally lust-worthy

pops of pink….im thinking lovely high-tea parties and sunday brunches with the ladies…

love the natural wooden ceiling beams and linen fabric on the chairs. wonder if the french doors walk out to a stone patio..perfect to enjoy  crumble cake and dessert wine.

The show stopper in this room is def the fabulous chandelier and the simplicity of the table and chairs compliment it wonderfully

Which do you like best?

Calming yet energizing, I think this is going to be a popular color this year.

I created this low-key holiday tabletop {ideal for breakfasts or pre-holiday dinners} for you this afternoon. I kept the decor simple with DIY ornament placecards and centerpieces to add a festive touch. I think small white roses in the lion head soup bowls would complete the look. The foliage is rosemary, one of my fav herbs. Bowl is Baccarat, dome from william sonoma, napkins and runner are from DwellStudio.

holiday tables; elegantly earthy

I know I have tons to do, but I couldnt resist featuring this tablescape featured in the latest Lonny Magazine. Simple but big on style. How chic are the marble salt n peper cellars and appetizer plates from CB? Birch votives and candles also from CB.

I also really like the choice of flowers and those slate boards as placemats are so clever!
