Calming yet energizing, I think this is going to be a popular color this year.

I created this low-key holiday tabletop {ideal for breakfasts or pre-holiday dinners} for you this afternoon. I kept the decor simple with DIY ornament placecards and centerpieces to add a festive touch. I think small white roses in the lion head soup bowls would complete the look. The foliage is rosemary, one of my fav herbs. Bowl is Baccarat, dome from william sonoma, napkins and runner are from DwellStudio.

I know I have tons to do, but I couldnt resist featuring this tablescape featured in the latest Lonny Magazine. Simple but big on style. How chic are the marble salt n peper cellars and appetizer plates from CB? Birch votives and candles also from CB.
I also really like the choice of flowers and those slate boards as placemats are so clever!

This tabletop was featured in Gourmet magazine, and I have had it posted on my inspiration board for a while. I like the bird centerpiece the most, but also the butterfly napkins, the gold/blue bowl, and the tablecloth.

Hello dears. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend. We hosted our very first thanksgiving dinner for a few friends and were joined by more friends for desserts. A very fun night! I made mashed potatoes and this salad as well as this cake and this tart for dessert. My huz made his first turkey and delish bourbon sweet potatoes! It all turned out gob smacking good!
Thank you so much for all your lovely emails and comments about the table decor. I went with the gold, amber and ruby decor for the table. And because SO SO many of you asked for it, I have decided to feature a table decor idea everyday during the holidays. I will try to feature as many of my own designs as possible too. Perhaps some inspired by fall/winter fashion as well. For the rest of the holiday season, you can find a good collection of table decor ideas right here, under category holiday table decor.
This table features classic tableware by villeroy & boch. the napkins are by busatti. I saw similar ones at macys. You can also easily handmake them using material from your local fabric store. Zgallerie has several glam napkin rings to get this look.

I created this simple plum and silver + white tablescape using some left over fabric and fresh flowers. The fabric for the runner is by Marimekko, plates, bowls and vases from Crate and Barrel. The silver salt dishes and bird salt and pepper shakers are a flea market find.

I have been brainstorming tabletop decor ideas for thanksgiving and am inspired by this jewel tone/plum setting. I have some organza fabric that I got from Ikea many years ago that I want to use. I love to glam things up, so am on the lookout for materials to complete the look. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, I’d love for you to share your holiday tabletop ideas.

This post was inspired by the few hours of lovely sunshine that we had today.
I had a fantastic time shopping and scored some good deals on dresses and a pair of pants. This got me more excited about my b-day on friday. I will be entering the last year of my twenties..

GORGEOUS tea towel prints by StudioPatro. And see various ways to use tea towels in the USE ME section of their site. So clever!
