Hello lovelies. Hope you had  a good weekend.

Are you recharged for the week ahead? No? me too. I could so use another day or two off.

Friday, I finally put away those mountains of books and magazines. I used an old shoe rack to hang the ones that I currently need to review. Spent most of Saturday enjoying the sunshine in my backyard. My friend from NY visited and we had a nice time chatting, lounging and basking in the sun. We took a short walk to the creek, bbqd and later went to birthday party.

Sunday was mostly overcast. I didn’t go for the bike ride, but went for another walk along the creek, with Paul and the camera.

I absolutely love the different colors of leaves in this area. Where else can you see pink, purple, crimson, orange and lush green leaves on one street? And we are lucky to experience leaves changing their colors twice a year, spring and fall.

These homes are right next to the creek.

I am so jealous of the views from this sunroom.

home office

Lately, I have seen several home office designs on design blogs.  I’m amazed at how efficiently people use their spaces.  I keep imagining the creative minds at work in their cozy offices. Inspiring!  I’ll be sharing some that stick out later this week or next. Needless to say, I would absolutely love to work from home, though maybe not all the time. I wouldn’t ever be late. I could wear whatever I want. But I would miss the interaction with co-workers – the lunches, the happy hours .. An occasional home office maybe. So what would my home office look like?

To start, I need plenty of sunshine, and big windows looking out to nature. I would like several work stations. How awesome would it be to wake up 10 minutes before start time, slap on a pair of jeans, fresh flowers from the garden, turn up the music, make a fresh salad for lunch, go for a run, endless pots of coffee and tea…

This image from BHG is very similar to the space I have in mind minus the decoration. I’ll share my decor inspirations soon.

Would you like to work from home? Could you get motivated and stay focused? What would you home office look like?
